My Animation

For this task we had to create our own cut-out animation. We decided to have Boris Johnson stood at a podium.

Once we created the cut-out animation, our next task was to create a 20 second iMovie on iMovie with using titles and sounds.

I started off with simple text at the beginning saying 'Cut-out Animation: Boris Johnson'. This is on just a plain black background. I then added my short cut-out sequence.
Once I put it in I noticed that it was too fast and ended rather quickly and because o that i wouldn't be able to reach the 20 seconds.
So as a solution, I used the button on iMovie which slows your clips down and it is the button that it a tortoise. I then slowed the clip down enough so it would fit the criteria where it has to be 20 seconds.

Once I complete that part of my iMovie I then added titles at the end. Just like the titles at the beginning they are on a plain black background and they are rolling titles and i had the titles of the iMovie at the top in big and then i credited everyone who was involved in the animation under the text.

My next task would to add sound onto my iMovie. I took a while looking through different types of sounds to use. I started to look through http://www.findsounds.com/ however I didn't find anything that would go well with my iMovie and there wasn't anything to use that is Boris Johnson related. There was only one sound clip on there that i found and that was applause. I thought i would use applause because it would look more realistic if he said his speech and afterwards there was applause. I then looked onto different websites to try and find an actual Boris Johnson speech because I thought that it would be better if i actually used a speech that was said by Boris Johnson. I tried to find an amusing speech said by Boris Johnson and after a while i found one where he talks about ping pong. I found the sound on this website:

Once i downloaded the sound, i dragged the sound onto my iMovie. When i put the sound onto my iMovie i noticed that it was too long and i only wanted a short part of the sound, where Boris talks about ping pong.
I then cut it to the small part that i wanted of speech and i then dragged it under the Boris part on the timeline.

I then thought that it would be a good idea to use the music out of the sound for both of my titles at beginning and end. At the beginning of the sound clip there was an instrumental part and after a few seconds it faded out and i thought it would be a good idea to use that one for my titles at the beginning because my titles are the beginning fade in and then fade out after a few seconds so i then decided to use that music part.

I then used the same music from my sound clip for the end titles, however, i made them longer because the end titles were longer. Below you will see the video to my finished product - my cut-out animation sequence with titles and sound.
